New Zealand’s New Dive Support Vessel will be Equipped with Cougar XT ROV

21 Januari 2019 Cougar XT underwater robotic vehicle (photo : SaabSeaEye) Cougar Best for Royal New Zealand Navy Norway-based Østensjø Rederi has chosen a Saab Seaeye Cougar XT underwater robotic vehicle as a deployable resource aboard their multi-purpose support vessel ‘Edda Fonn’. The company is contracted to deliver the ‘Edda Fonn’ to the New Zealand Ministry of Defence in 2019 with an integrated ROV and dive system amongst its upgrades. The ship will subsequently be used by the Royal New Zealand Navy. Østensjø Rederi say they chose the Cougar over robotic vehicles from other manufacturers after hearing ‘very good feedback’ from end users around the world. Hadi mengatakan, hal itu juga telah dilaporkannya krpada Menteri Pertahanan RI Ryamizard Ryacudu dalam Rapat Pimpinan Kementerian Pertahanan di Gedung Kementerian Pertahan, Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (16/1/2019). Konstruksi Kapal LST Pesanan TNI AL Hampir Selesai

17 Januari 2019 Progres pembangunan kapal-kapal LST di PT DRU Lampung (all photos : PT DRU) Bertempat di galangan kapal PT Daya Radar Utama (DRU) di Panjang, Lampung berlangsung pengerjaan 3 kapal LST pesanan TNI AL. Ketiga kapal ini merupakan pesanan Kementerian Pertahanan yang pemotongan baja pertamanya (first steel cutting) telah dimulai pada April 2017. Ketiga kapal LST yang diberi kode AT-5, AT-6, dan AT-7 ini akan menyusul 2 kapal serupa yang sudah diserahkan PT DRU kepada TNI AL yaitu KRI Teluk Bintuni 520 dan KRI Teluk Lada 521 sebagai bagian dari peremajaan kapal-kapal milik TNI AL. Dalam gambar yang diposting pada bulan lalu oleh PT DRU tampak bahwa kapal-kapal LST ini konstruksinya telah hampir selesai. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington announced a $9.3 million order Wednesday to the Boeing Co. Defense, Space & Security segment in St. Louis to design and build the High Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare Weapon Capability (HAAWC) Air Launch Accessory (ALA). The HAAWC ALA enables the Raytheon MK 54 lightweight torpedo carried aboard the Navy Boeing P-8A Poseidon long-range maritime patrol jet to glide through the air from altitudes as high as 30,000 feet, essentially transforming the torpedo into a glide weapon that the P-8A aircraft can release from high altitudes. Aside from the press statement made by the Philippine Navy's Flag Officer in Command (FOIC) Vice Adm. Robert Empedrad confirming that the Pohang-class corvette donated by the South Korean government will be delivered by March or April 2019, MaxDefense was also able to obtain similar information from several defense and naval sources. Based on the FOIC's statements alone, the assigned officers and crew members of the ship will be departing for South Korea before the end of January 2019. Tesco Indomaritim, Jamin Basuki kepada Kadismatal Laksamana Pertama TNI Kasih Prihantoro. Selanjutnya kapal diserahkan kepada Asisten Logistik (Aslog) Kasal, Laksamana Muda TNI Mulyadi bertempat di Pantai Mutiara Indah, Jakarta Utara. Kamis, (10/1). Dua KAL produksi dalam negeri itu memiliki spesifikasi panjang 28 meter, lebar 6,20 meter dan mampu mengangkut 15 ABK. However, the Philippines will not “actively” request for the transfer, National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said. “We will not actively ask for it. The United States government is in the process of replacing Hamilton-class cutters with Legend-class cutters. MaxDefense added that it was informed that the post qualification inspection started late 2018.
