The Singapore Armed Forces is testing a stealthy new combatant craft that appears to be optimised for special operations. The combatant craft could be a replacement for the Singapore Army's Very Slender Vessel.

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) is quietly testing a stealthy new high-speed combatant craft that appears to be designed specifically for commando infiltration/extraction and special operations, according to open source imagery reviewed by Jane's in early December.



The images depict a light gray, twin-step planing monohull watercraft - evidently designed to optimise efficiency and stability at high speeds - with a length and beam of approximately 18 m and 4 m respectively, featuring a low-profile but fully enclosed crew cabin with the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) ensign painted amidships on the port and starboard sides, and an open aft-working deck.

Royal Thai Navy Selecs U-1 UAV for Maritime Survellance

03 Januari 2019 RTAF U-1 Unmanned Aerial System by Thai company RV Connex (photo : AAG) Royal Thai Navy has announced to RV Connex Co., Ltd. (RV Connex) Thailand to win the selection of the purchase of an unmanned aircraft system (UAV) for a project to develop a long-term maritime surveillance project with a total of 109,600 Baht ($ 3,355,654). Earlier in the year 2017 The Royal Thai Air Force has ordered the supply of 16 unmanned aircraft systems RTAF U-1 UAV with ground control station system, which is based on the Sky Scout tactical unmanned aircraft system of Thai Connex RV Company. It is one of the supporting sectors of the Thai Navy's for defence industry, by the Royal Thai Navy has developed and procured many unmanned aerial vehicles systems that have been developed in Thailand for continuous use.
